Flip or Flop used to be so good! Then Tarek and Christina got divorced and it became a disaster, which Decider let me rant about.
While viewing figures have continued to soar this season, the personal B-plots to each episode are dominated by unnecessary and sometimes even downright contrived issues between Tarek and Christina. Presumably, drama is good for ratings and given that fans of the show have also followed and become invested in the relationship between its stars over the years, it would be just as weird if it was never mentioned at all. However, most viewers watch the show because we like to see the transformation of the actual houses, and all this filler content about the state of the El Moussa’s conscious uncoupling is distracting at best and downright obnoxious at worst.
